With scanography you have to use what's available at that time -- no saving up flowers in the spring to use with something out later in the year. Some early morning flowers you can't even pair up with a day bloomer because the AM blooms often wilt when the sun gets high -- Morning Glories, for example. So you use what's out at the same time, sometimes leading to frustration of not being able to combine some that you'd like but often it works out just fine.
