Mirrored Hosta

Much of our yard is quite shady, forcing us to choose plants like hosta that tolerate such low-light conditions.  Fortunately I like the wide leaves with interesting shades of green and variations and textures. Plus they're hardy and require no fuss during the summer!  As an added bonus they bloom fairly profusely.

While cleanup editing this image I found a surprise: a tiny aphid wing stuck on a blossom tip, shiny with all it's veins clearly visible.  You can see the wing on the About Art page.
