You gotta love lupines — complex flowers forming their dense spires, showy in their beds. I’ve been fortunate to have been able to see them in the wild in some of the Nordic countries and they cover wide fields and last a long time in the cool climate found there. A couple of hot days will unfortunately hasten the end of their blooms in our gardens so we have to be sure to enjoy them while they last.
