OK, so I’m a sucker for these bleeding hearts. Reliable bloomers, one of the first to grace us with their beauty in spring, and the complex delicacy always intrigues me. At this time of year everything has that gentle softness before the heat stiffens the leaves for their long seasonal haul of growth and any little critters have started to nibble on them. But if I’m going to do any scans of material like this it is act fast — one storm or a hot day and they’re past their delicate prime!
